HR Manager | US headquartered deeptech start-up company

Company:

  • Our client develops next-generation, ultra-high density solid state batteries which will be a gamechanger in the market.
  • Company is registered in the US, and is backed by some of largest Silicon Valley VC firms and local strategic investors.
  • R&D is local here in Japan, and expanding with new production facility.
  • Still early stage start-up/scale-up, very flat organisation where all employees are expected to act like owners.

Role:

  • First TA/HR Manager in the organisation - will be initially heavy on Talent Acquisition activities, as company is in high-growth phase and needs to expand key functions.
  • Work with CEO, CFO, investors and leadership teams to define and execute on HR, TA and the organisation growth strategy.
  • Due to the start-up and highly technical nature of the company, HR Manager is expected to spend time in genba to understand the business / people / tech.
  • Also, as is common with start-up you will be expected to take on ad-hoc projects, such as supporting PR and branding efforts.
