Commercial Strategy & Offtake Lead, Global ESS Project Developer / Operator

Opportunity:

Senior role - will cover 3 core areas for the Japan business, and grow a team below as projects progress.

1. Drive offtake strategy & execution.  Work with offtakers in a consultative manner to negotiate and design offtake products and execute.  Also continually monitor markets for new contracted revenue opportunities.
2. Commercial contract negotiation and execution.  Lead key negotiations for EPC, BoP etc. as well as push development forward as commercial lead.
3. Business development, working with the Development GM, assess and develop new market opportunities, JVs, project acquisition, offtake etc.

Ideal profile:

• Strong track record in development and/or investment of renewable energy projects with successful track record in win-win commercial negotiations.
• Comfortable with a start-up and international environment, reporting overseas and working with a flexible team locally.
• Experience with PPAs required, BESS also a plus but not necessary.
