Country Manager, Global ESS Project Developer / Operator

Company:

• BESS project developer with >15x projects in pipeline in APAC.
• Start-up culture, with flexible working environment and high level of interaction with global team.
• Backed by major PE fund, with key partnerships in place in Japan giving them strong access to market and abundant capital resources.
• Japan is a key market for expansion, currently investing heavily and looking to grow the organisation.

Opportunity:

• Management of the entire offtake strategy of the BESS projects for the Japanese market. In particular, the corporate PPA (CPPA) process and related contracts for large-scale stand-alone BESS developments.
• Drive the dialogue with all stakeholders including potential offtakers, aggregators, market advisors, lenders, etc e.g. to build and maintain relationships.
• Lead on market intelligence incl. latest PPA trends, relevant regulation, competitor information, offtake candidates.

Ideal profile:

• Strong track record in development and/or investment of renewable energy projects with exposure to CPPA deals.
• Comfortable with a start-up and international environment, reporting overseas and working with a flexible team locally.
• Experience with PPAs required, power markets is a plus.
