Director~Partner (Japan Lead) | Energy Advisory Firm

Company:

• Global strategy & deal advisory firm with strong speciality in energy industry.  APAC currently run from Singapore, and will open Japan office later 2025.
• Power markets, M&A, risk and trading are prime industries looking to launch in Japan initially with intent to expand.
• Privately owned, allowing for an agile, organic growth focused business.

Opportunity:

• Leadership role to launch advisory practice in Japan - you will build the business alongside APAC Partner relocating here.
• Build out the initial team, establish local brand presence and develop growth strategy for Japan market.
• Work with existing clients (global IPPs, Japanese banks, trading houses and utilities) as well as expand the client base.

Ideal Candidate:

• Looking to hire a market maker / business builder to grow the firm in Japan, both from a P&L and team perspective.
• 10+ years of consulting / advisory experience with excellent leadership capability.
• Well networked in the energy, trading and investment markets.  Specific track record in transaction advisory and/or power market modeling highly valued.
