Description
A leading global renewable energy company is currently looking for an HSSE Manager to join its Japan team, based in Tokyo.
This role will be responsible for leading the implementation and continuous improvement of Health, Safety, Security, and Environmental policies across the company’s operations in Japan, with a focus on renewable energy projects including solar PV and BESS.
The HSSE Manager will play a key role in ensuring that global HSSE standards are properly adapted to Japanese labor laws, local regulations, and cultural practices. The position will work closely with internal teams, local authorities, EPC contractors, subcontractors, and other project stakeholders to ensure strong HSSE compliance across project sites and regional operations.

Key responsibilities include overseeing HSSE policy implementation, conducting workplace and site audits, managing HSSE KPIs and budgets, delivering safety training and toolbox talks, leading incident investigations, supporting legal compliance audits, and monitoring environmental performance, including waste management, spill prevention, and energy efficiency.
