Role:

As the Supply Chain Lead, you will be tasked to perform a front-line role to support the Business Opportunity Managers (BOMs) and project managers in securing winning bids for Bottom Fixed and Floating offshore wind farms in Japan. Besides this, he/she may be asked to support other Offshore Wind opportunities in Asia.

Specifically, the successful candidate will support the following: 

  • Build on current relations and meet representatives from multiple suppliers, conduct site visits for the end-to-end offshore supply chains to identify the potential players for the company.
  • Securing Statement of Interest for Japan Offshore Wind Auctions from suppliers for the entire supply chains for the company that will participate in the upcoming bids.
  • Conduct tenders, negotiate contract terms, prices and help with supplier selection for consultancy, pre feed engineering and certain OW farm equipment and services contracts.
  • Collect relevant supplier track record; equipment and services local content information to incorporate them as part of the bid document the company will submit in the auction. 
  • He/she will provide dedicated Contract & Procurement (CP) support to multiple Japanese opportunities based on the specific JV requirement and policies while learning from other projects in the region.
  • You will maintain day-to-day contacts with partners, suppliers and contractors and will participate on behalf of the company in Industry Association activities to advance offshore wind as a sustainable sector.
  • In partnership with the country chair office and the corporate relations team you would support the advocacy, where appropriate, of ideas that would positively evolve the local offshore wind regulatory framework.
