NEW | Relationship and Business Development Manager @ Global Climate Advisory

Our client is a global leader in climate change advisory with offices in over 30 countries, and a team of 800 globally.  They entered the Japan market last year, and this is your chance to be one of the first team to build out the business here.

The company covers a wide range of business areas:  Corporate Climate Change Solutions, Sustainable Finance and Investments, Carbon Credit Trading and RE100 Support and more.

Extremely high growth business - was 500 people globally at start of 2022, now over 1,000.

Team-based company culture - you can expect to work closely with APAC team located in Australia, as well as other global offices.

Responsibilities:

Lead account management and business development activities.

This is a wide ranging role perfect for entrepreneurial minded people.  Develop solutions for the Japanese market, by creating new tailor-made solutions, in close collaboration with other teams such as our marketing, consultancy, carbon and renewables teams to help our Japanese clients to manage their risks and seize opportunities associated with climate change.

  • Lead negotiations and conclude commercial agreements with clients
  • Lead existing presence in Japan, managing existing customer relationships/partnerships. 
  • Build long term relationships with new and existing clients by ensuring high-quality services
  • Identify market trends and provide inputs for product & service development

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of sales experience, preferably in a Key Account Management capacity.
  • Proven experience in fostering high-value, long-term relationships with complex B2B clients.
  • Agile mindset to work in a fast-growing, start-up environment.
  • Desire to work in sustainability and climate change is needed, experience in this space is welcome, but not necessary.
  • Leadership experience to hire, mentor and train team.
