Company:

  • Our client is one of the top solar players both globally and in Japan.  The Group manufactures PV modules, BESS systems, develops and operates 10GW of PV solar assets globally (>500MW in Japan) and has their own in house EPC and O&M companies.
  • The O&M business employs around 40 staff in asset management, reporting, engineering and maintenance.  They manage approx 50 PV assets with a cumulative capacity of around 500MW in Japan.  The global O&M business employs hundreds, and manages 10GW of solar assets.
  • Flexible and global working culture, hybrid working style encouraged.

Role:

  • New position responsible for growing the O&M business.  
  • Responsible for building O&M revenue stream by establishing connections with both foreign and Japanese developers and asset owners.
  • Create the BD strategy, prioritise targets, refine marketing and sales materials.  Communicate O&M business strengths, track record and brand story to the market to win new business.
  • In this role, you will be responsible for the full sales life-cycle, from initial outreach and business development, to negotiation of contract and pricing terms as well as ongoing account management and customer growth.

Ideal profile:

  • Well connected sales / business development professional with deep contacts in the Japan renewable energy (solar) industry.
  • Experienced in originating and closing deals, and various contract negotiations.
  • Experience with O&M services, remote monitoring, SCADA etc. highly valued, but not necessary.
  • Strong written English skills required, speaking we are flexible.
