Description
Senior Vice President / Head of Infrastructure Investments – Japan
Company:
A top-tier global private equity and alternative investment manager with over 30 years of experience and offices across 20+ countries in Europe, North America, the Middle East, and Asia Pacific. Publicly listed and managing over USD 120 billion in assets, the firm is recognized for its breadth across private equity, private debt, real estate, and infrastructure.
The firm’s flagship Asia fund, now exceeding USD 1 billion, has established a strong footprint in Japan—over half of the fund’s commitments are already deployed locally through successful renewable energy investments. Over the next five years, the platform is targeting an additional USD 350 million of investment in energy storage, renewables, and social infrastructure, while expanding into digital assets such as data centers and other TMT sectors.
The Opportunity:
This is a key leadership position for a proven investor to drive the firm’s infrastructure platform in Japan. The Senior Vice President will oversee all origination and execution activities, working closely with senior partners across Asia and Europe. The role combines hands-on transaction leadership with strategic relationship-building across the Japanese market.
You will be responsible for:
-
Leading origination and execution of infrastructure investments across renewables, energy storage, and digital infrastructure.
-
Developing new relationships with developers, utilities, corporates, and institutional investors.
-
Representing the Japan platform internally and externally while collaborating with global teams, particularly Singapore-based counterparts.
-
Shaping local strategy and pipeline development in one of the firm’s highest-growth regions.
Why This Firm:
-
A world-class global private equity house with a diversified, multi-asset platform and deep institutional backing.
-
Strong and stable capital base with a long history of support from pension funds, insurers, and sovereign investors.
-
Highly respected in Japan, with over a decade of successful local transactions in the infrastructure and renewables sector.
-
A lean and empowered regional structure — less bureaucracy, faster decision-making, and genuine ownership of outcomes.
-
Flexible capital capabilities (equity, mezzanine, hybrid) that allow the team to structure creative, competitive solutions in complex markets.
This is a rare opportunity to take a leadership role within a global platform that combines the scale of a top-tier fund with the entrepreneurial freedom of a growing Asia business.
